Learn Modern Jive / Ceroc™: a dance that fits any music and any dance floor
Modern jive, also known as Leroc or Ceroc™, is an evolution of a French jive called LeBop. The lack of a defined foot pattern and the start of moves on any beat (off phrase dancing) make it unique and easy to learn as you simply walk on the beat and move as partners.
It is a very rich dance with infinite variations and great musicality, integrating styling and inspirations from many dance styles.
In our classes, we highlight the movement flow and the partner connection before footwork. This helps develop strong partner technique from the start and build confidence fast to enjoy social dancing.
Modern Jive is traditionally danced on music around 130 bpm.
